Go Dog Go Pet Care / FAQ
Interview with Andrea McFeeley: Owner of Go Dog Go Pet Care, LLC
Some of the most common questions that come our way:
Why should I use a pet sitter?
Many pet behaviorists, veterinarians, trainers, and pet parents have observed that pets who stay in their homes while their people are away experience less anxiety than those who are placed in an unfamiliar setting. Staying home means your pets maintain their usual routine pertaining to diet and exercise and sleep. They also get the added benefit of the one-on-one attention provided by a pet sitter. Staying home also eliminates the stress of being transported and also minimizes the possible exposure of illness and harm from other animals.
What services do you offer?
Although most of our pet clients are dogs and cats, we are happy to care for your other feathered, scaly and furry friends too. Whatever it is that gets in the way of your pet’s needs, (work, travel, traffic, carpool, sports, sickness, injury, vacation, or a night on the town) we can jump in to help. We will be there to visit, play, feed, walk, or clean up after your pet. Let us know if you want your mail or packages taken in, your lights turned off or on, or plants watered while we are there, we can help with that too.
Do you care for pets who have aggression issues?
If the pet has a bite history, the no, we cannot provide a service. The liability is too much. If your pet is fearful or skittish around new people then we will evaluate the pet and try to work with you to create a plan that we, you and your pet are comfortable with. It all starts with the meet and greet. A team member can meet with you and your pet to determine the best way to proceed.
What if my pet needs medication?
If your pet needs medication while you are away, we will do our best to administer the medication.
